Self Breast Massage and Why You Should Get Hands On With Your Boobies ASAP!

Breast massage - Ever tried it?

If the answer is “no”, stick with me here because there’s multiple benefits that I’m keen for you to know about!

It’s one of the most regular self care practices that I recommend to my clients, and something that I incorporate into my own routine often.

So What Are The Benefits of Self Breast Massage?

Physical Health:

Regular breast massage is helpful for breaking up fibrous tissue, preventing cysts and lumps from forming, keeping in touch with the state of your existing lumps n' bumps, and assisting lymphatic drainage.

If you practice breast massage often, it is wonderful for breast health, tone, and appearance. 

Some tantric schools of thought believe that massaging breasts in a circular motion in one direction can  increase size, and the other direction can decrease size. There’s no scientific research around this but hey, as a small-titty-woman I sure used to try anything to grow my little puppies!

Breasts contain an abundance of lymph vessels that help the circulatory system move nutrients and waste in and out of our bodies. The health of our lymphatic system is intimately connected to our breast health.

Lymphatic flow can be obstructed by tight bras/underwires, poor posture, lack of exercise, shallow breathing, and tight neck, shoulder, chest and back muscles.

Massage encourages the tissues to release stored excesses of oestrogen, move debris away from the spaces between cells, and return the fluid to the bloodstream to be eliminated.

There being such a high concentration of lymph nodes in the breast tissue around and in the armpits means that breast massage is particularly important for detoxification through the lymphatic system. It's also useful for enhancing the elasticity of the ligaments in the chest, providing improved breast support.

Self Love and Connection:

Giving yourself regular breast massage is a really beautiful way to give ourselves and our hearts love. To honour and revere these incredible life-sustaining organs on our chests that often get overlooked by us and impatiently strapped into bras or unconsciously fondled for another's enjoyment or arousal.. To connect to a part of our body that are so often neglected and subject to intense self criticism and judgement. 

It is common for women to dislike their breasts - to want them to be bigger, smaller, perkier, or have Hollywood nipples. So much self loathing and negative feelings and thoughts get directed towards our poor boobs simply for not looking a certain way that we would like them to be or think they should be (usually the way that the media has prescribed as sexy or attractive).

Giving your breasts regular touch and intentional massage, interacting and engaging with them more frequently, sends your subconscious a message of self love and care. Even if you don’t consciously feel loving towards them when you’re doing it, the fact that you’re spending this time and energy on them is a beautiful affirmation to your unconscious mind that they’re appreciated, worthy, and loved. 

Not only that, but it helps reclaim them and send a message of love and gratitude to your inner feminine as well.

Physical Sensation and Increased Pleasure Potential:

Giving regular massage and loving touch to your darling boobies helps to sensitise them to sensual touch and sensation.

The nipples are already super connected to the yoni and will often act as a gateway to arousal and start the sexual energy flowing in the pelvic bowl, awakening pleasure and openness by kickstarting blood flow and lubrication down there.

There is a luscious amount of erectile tissue in the nipples as well, so they have the capacity to feel rather pleasurable on their own (ever heard of a nipplegasm??) but the added bonus of stimulating your nips is that they are physiologically connected to your clit and yoni so will actually encourage arousal processes in the pelvic area and boost pleasure all-round!

This is why I always recommend giving the tits n nips some lovin’ before even bothering to approach the yoni during intimacy or self pleasuring. This article goes into more detail about why this is and what order we should be getting each body zone involved during sexy times!


Heart Opening:

The breasts are connected to the heart space and represent this chakra, meaning that connecting to them and giving them focused touch can work to open and nourish the heart space and tap into your heart energy more readily.

So all in all I’d say it’s a pretty worthwhile and valuable practice to put some thought (or even better, action!) towards, don’t you think?
